South Celebes : Distribution of loans through the Institute of Credit Management Revolving Fund for Micro-Small-Medium Enterprises (LPDB-KUMKM) in South Sulawesi reached Rp132 billion, which is distributed to 25 partners.
"Since the second quarter 2011 distribution has shown a significant improvement compared to the first quarter which reached Rp102 billion. While revolving funds LPDB cooperative development is targeted to reach Rp140 billion until the end of 2011," explained AM Yamin, Head of Department of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of South Sulawesi, not long ago.
Yamin said the funds were distributed to the cooperative potential and best meet the requirements to promote the realization of revolving funds, in order LPDB not take long to verify.
In addition, said Yamin, to increase the realization is to maintain the level of bad debts or non-performing loans (NPLs) in order to remain below one percent.
"The low NPL also supports the increase in realization of the distribution. LPBD noted, Sulawesi is a province with the lowest NPL compared to other regions in Indonesia," he said.
Based on existing data, the number of cooperatives currently as many as 7723 units, 28% active and 27% are not active. While the target of 400 women's cooperatives in 2011, when this number had reached 286 units while the number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) accounted for 860,810 units.
South Sulawesi alone, continued Yamin, is ranked fourth nationwide distribution of the People's Business Credit (KUR) Rp1, 6 trillion by the number of borrowers as much as 292,066. In January-October 2011 position distribution of KUR per bank is dominated by BRI at Rp853 billion by the number of debtors 214.
