Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan promote Indonesia's economic potential in the presence of Progressive Business Forum, Friday (12/02/2011) in Johannesburg, South Africa. Progressive Business Forum or the PBF is a collection of entrepreneurs in South Africa that has a strong network with a ruler.
On that occasion, Gita said Indonesia's economic and political situation today is very conducive to investment. With a debt ratio of 24 percent, Indonesia's economic position is quite secure. Some of the potential investment is the electrical energy and infrastructure.
"Our electricity supply is still low so as to open investment opportunities in the sector," he said.
According to Gita, economic cooperation between Indonesia and South Africa are complementary. "South Africa need a coffee and rubber, which the supply is abundant in our country, while we need investment," he said.
